How to Engage Family Members in Crisis Planning
A mental health crisis compromises the well-being of the person experiencing it, as well as those supporting them. Formulating a crisis plan for someone with a mental health condition encourages tailored coping strategies, mitigates crises, and engages families and informal supports. This course provides information on the stages of and situations that lead to a mental health crisis so that you can respond effectively. You will learn techniques to help you strengthen resilience in families and informal supports while developing a comprehensive crisis plan. You will also learn the structure and components of a family crisis plan.
