Telepractice can streamline the delivery of speech therapy and allow speech-language pathologists (SLPs) to reach patients with limited means or access to the clinic or other settings. It is also a mode to use when in-person encounters are unsafe, such as during a pandemic. This course provides an introduction to care delivery via synchronous telepractice for patients in post-acute care settings. Learners will gain an understanding of how to select appropriate patients for telepractice, administer assessments and treatment interventions, address common challenges, and complete accurate billing and documentation.
