Enteral nutrition (EN) is a feeding strategy that utilizes the gastrointestinal (GI) tract to deliver a portion or all of a child's nutrition. This course presents nursing considerations for caring for children and adolescents who are receiving EN in the post-acute care setting. It includes the indications and contraindications for providing EN and appropriate nursing interventions for administering EN. This course also delves into interventions necessary to help prevent complications of EN in children and adolescents.
