Opioid conversion consults are one of the most common received within the clinical call center in addition to requests for drug information on newer agents such as Nucynta, Exalgo and Buprenorphine dosage forms. Seventy-five percent of use of our internal drug information service relates to symptoms of pain and opioid conversions. In addtion, annual client survey results reveal pain management as a popular topic and an area where nursing seeks to improve skills.

As a clinical manager at Enclara Pharmacia, Elizabeth works with hospice clinical leadership to support and drive pharmacy initiatives in alignment with their corporate goals. Elizabeth also provides clinical support and education to hospice providers and nursing staff. Before her transition to Enclara, Elizabeth worked as a geriatric consultant pharmacist working closely with providers and nursing staff in long term care facilities completing monthly drug regimen reviews and recommendations for therapy changes. Throughout her career, Elizabeth has enjoyed working on multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient care. Elizabeth earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Rhode Island and was previously board certified as a geriatric pharmacist.
