This course explains the interventional rescue options for individuals diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke. These include systemic thrombolysis (tPA) and endovascular procedures such as mechanical thrombectomy and cerebral artery stenting. The course reviews how these procedures improve ischemic stroke outcomes and which patients benefit the most. Pre- and post-procedure care for the patient is also explained.
