Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis

In the past few decades, the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has become well-known as the use of interventions for children with autism have increased. While ABA has contributed much to autism intervention, the field is much broader. ABA is the application of the principles of behavior to socially significant issues in order to produce meaningful and measurable change (Cooper, et. al, 2007). By using scientific methods, ABA has provided a way for people to understand human behavior and the impact of environmental variables on behavior. This course will provide an introduction to ABA and illustrate some of the many uses of techniques based on ABA.
This course is based on the RBT Task List and is designed to meet part of the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT credential. This program is offered independent of the BACB. https://www.bacb.com/rbt/rbt-task-list/
