The quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiative in long-term care facilities is a step toward moving the quality process from one based on assessment of inadequacies to one focused on improvement. With an overall heightened scrutiny on quality of care in the healthcare industry, an effective QAPI program in your facility is an essential business practice. In this course, you will learn about the concepts and principles of QAPI and its five elements. Additionally, you will learn how you can use QAPI in your facility for quality improvement and management activities.
