This course provides information on the conditions, code structure, and chapter-specific guidelines pertaining to OB/GYN services. The course focuses on the codes located in ICD-10-CM Chapter 15, Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Puerperium (O00-O9A), and female genitourinary disorders from Chapter 14, Diseases of the Genitourinary System (N00-N99). In addition, use of codes related to pregnancy and female genitourinary disorders from Chapter 21, Factors Influencing Health Status and Contact with Health Services (Z00-Z99), are reviewed.
Specific conditions appearing in this course include:
- Pregnancy with abortive outcome
- Normal and high-risk pregnancy
- Hypertension, preeclampsia, and eclampsia
