ELNEC Undergraduate / New Graduate Curriculum

As of June 1st, 2020, ELNEC Undergraduate has been renamed and revised! It is now the ELNEC Undergraduate/New Graduate Curriculum and has an exciting new format, with updated content and references. The ELNEC Undergraduate/New Graduate Curriculum is for all nursing students in associate and baccalaureate degree programs, as well as students in pre-licensure and accelerated programs, and those in RN-to-BSN programs. Although many schools have enrolled in the curriculum, only about 25% of all BSN and ADN programs are actively using the curriculum. We have heard from Nurse Residency programs that this content would be helpful to new graduates who have not had the curriculum, hence the new name! The curriculum meets the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) CARES competencies for primary palliative care at the undergraduate level. This curriculum contains six, one-hour online modules, all of which contain an interactive student experience with videos role-modeling strong palliative nursing skills, case study reflections, testimonials by national palliative care nursing experts, and the opportunity to receive a certificate of training after successful completion of the ten-question NCLEX-style quizzes at the end of each module. Faculty supplemental materials are available on request, at no cost to all faculty enrolling their students, and these supplementals have been updated as well.
