Amanda Gayle received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Tennessee. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Georgia in the Counseling and Testing Center. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in the Occupational Health Department working in both the internal and external employee assistance programs. She is licensed in North Carolina where she was in private practice for 15 years serving primarily adults in individual and couples counseling with many presenting issues. Her focus was on cognitive behavioral therapy to treat anxiety, mood disorders, grief, relationship difficulties, stress management, self-esteem, and parenting. She joined Relias as a subject matter expert writer for behavioral health in 2021.Subject Matter Expert: Juan Armando Rojas Joo, Ph.D.
Dr. Rojas Joo has more than thirteen years’ experience of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism training programing, hiring, retention, and promotion of employees from diverse backgrounds, conflict resolution, and mentoring. He has worked as Chief Diversity Officer and Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion in higher-ed and, most recently as a DEI expert consultant on healthcare and corporate. Rojas Joo holds a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in Hispanic Cultural Studies and a M.A. and B.A from the University of Texas in El Paso. Rojas Joo has certificates in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, intergroup dialogue, higher ed administration, and he is a published author and speaks, writes, and reads English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
