Transportation is key to living an active and independent life. However, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or IDD, often lack reliable transportation. In this course, you will learn about different modes of transportation and how to help people access them. You will also learn about transportation challenges that people with IDD commonly face, and strategies you can use to overcome them. The goal of this course is to teach direct support professionals, or DSPs, in IDD service settings about community transportation for the people they support.
