Colorectal Cancer for the Medical Assistant

Medical assistants perform administrative and clinical tasks that ideally position them to identify patients at an increased risk of colorectal cancer, educate them about the importance of colorectal screening, and engage them in discussions about reasons that may be preventing action to get screened.
The goal of this course is to educate medical assistants in the healthcare setting about the importance of colorectal cancer screening, risk factors for colorectal cancer, and how to engage patients in conversations about barriers to screening.
