Clinical 9-Online Marty Smith Safety Training: Working with Forensic Clients
Welcome to the Online ‘Marty Smith’ Safety Training. This training has been adapted from a compact disk (CD) set that was originally developed as part of a ‘Train-the-Trainer’ curriculum in 2008. This project was a collaboration between the Division of Behavioral Health & Recovery (DBHR—formerly the Mental Health Division) and The Washington Institute for Mental Health Research & Training (WIMHRT, which is affiliated with the University of Washington). Using the CD set, trainings have been conducted throughout Washington State with these materials. Therefore, you will likely hear references during the video portions of this online training to the ‘CDs’ (including a supplementary CD with additional materials). You may also be invited to turn ‘off’ the training and consult with your ‘team’ or ‘co-workers.’ We invite you to share these materials with them after you have completed the training yourself.
