Wendy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in Biology, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University. She has more than 25 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in multiple care settings, including acute care, inpatient rehab, independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedics. Andrea Wood holds her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Columbia University and is a Board Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She has been a practicing physical therapist in both the pelvic health and orthopedic setting for ten years. Andrea has presented at conferences, authored peer-reviewed publications, and teaches pelvic health curriculum-related material to entry-level DPT students. She has also received the Clinician of the Year award where she currently works in the outpatient physical therapy department at the University of Miami. Andrea is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Miami where she is focusing her research on disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBIs). Her primary career goal is to improve accessibility to pelvic health care through the education of entry-level physical therapy students and exploring the effectiveness of simple low-cost interventions for patients suffering from pelvic health disorders.
