The first part of this course discusses strategies to help with activities of daily living, or ADLs. It also discusses the meaning behind behavioral symptoms and how to address the behaviors. The second part of this course discusses creating meaningful and engaging activities for people with dementia. It also discusses common issues family members may experience when caring for a loved one with dementia. The third part of this course discusses strategies to create a safe environment for persons with Alzheimer’s disease. It also describes the basic principles of caring for people with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
