The majority of services are required for patients with advanced heart failure experiencing severe shortness of breath at rest and on exertion, pulmonary and peripheral edema, and poor functional capacity. The purpose of this activity is to provide the learner with the basic knowledge required to understand the prevalence, complications, and current therapeutic strategies to manage patients with heart failure.
