The resident care plan is a communication tool that guides all members of the healthcare team in how to meet each individual resident’s needs. It is also a legal document that identifies the types and methods of care that the resident should receive. In this course, you will learn about the care planning process and why the care plan is important in ensuring quality care for each resident. You will also learn about regulations that impact the care planning process and how contributing to and following the resident care plan can help your residents achieve their highest level of well-being.
