The purpose of this course is to familiarize the learner with the integumentary system. Information about the anatomy of the skin, skin health, and changes to the skin that result from aging is presented. The process for recognizing, preventing, and responding to skin changes and injuries are reviewed. Chronic and contagious skin conditions are discussed, along with ways to promote healthy skin.
