This course introduces the learner to the basics of medication management. The effects of age as it relates to the processing, quantity, and effects of medications are presented. The six rights of medication service and the rights of the person for whom the medication is prescribed are discussed. Strategies for a safe and efficient medication service are reviewed, and learners are instructed on the many methods of medication delivery.
