The purpose of this course is to familiarize the learner with end of life topics. This course engages the learner in understanding experiences that can either positively or negatively influence a resident’s end of life experience including: perceptions, personal preparation, values and beliefs are discussed. Ways caregiver prejudice and influence can alter a resident’s end of life experience is discussed. And the importance of culture, relationships, and caring for the bereaved is explored.
