The realization that one is experiencing some memory loss can be frightening. In this course we will provide examples of early and later stages of memory loss. Many suggestions are provided to help residents cope with memory loss and maintain their independence. This course also provides suggestions on how to help both direct care staff and the residents’ families cope with the memory loss of a resident.

Name common causes of memory loss.
Describe tips that can help persons cope with their memory loss.
Describe tips that can help families and caregivers who are caring for a person with memory loss.
