In this Communication Styles Effectiveness course, you will explore how understanding your own and others’ communication styles will positively impact your interactions, thereby contributing to your effectiveness as a manager. You will learn how to identify your own communication style which will help you better adapt to the styles of other people. You will examine the pros and cons of each style so that you are able to work more effectively with your team to accomplish objectives. Tips and techniques for adapting to different communication styles will be provided. Not only will you gain awareness of your own style, you will have an opportunity to assess the style of your team members and create an action plan for more effective communication. We will use a blend of experiential exercises, instructive information, and self-study to provide tips, tools and techniques you need to increase your effectiveness. This Communication Effectiveness is for managers of all levels who want to develop or hone their current skill set.
