Explain licensing requirements for dental professionals and the procedures and policies for license renewal.
Review procedures for citations and the associated fines the Dental Board of California may assess.
Highlight Dental Practice Act violations and unprofessional conduct that may result in license revocation and suspension.
Review the procedures and policies for license renewal and for reinstating a suspended or revoked license.
Know the guidelines for prescriptions and dissemination of controlled substances.
Reinforce permit requirements for administering general anesthesia, moderate conscious sedation, and oral conscious sedation for adult patients and minors.
Understand the obligation to report suspected abuse and neglect of elder and dependent adults and children and the clinical signs to look for.
