Leadership in Long-Term Care: The Why

Leadership in Long-Term Care: The Why

It is a well-known fact that the long-term care industry has an extremely high employee turnover rate, and many believe that job satisfaction is at the heart of this problem. How many leaders in long-term care get up in the morning and immediately begin planning strategies to satisfy their employees? The fact is that most managers focus on the tasks they need to accomplish with the bodies they have available. They may give little, if any, specific thought to increasing job satisfaction. This course is the first part of a two-part course that provides a comprehensive study of all aspects of leadership with special emphasis on building a successful and productive work environment. In this course, you will learn what it takes to be a good leader, the fundamental principles of leadership, and how to build job satisfaction and foster good performance.
