Mr. Anthony A. Barone is a driver of health, safety and security solutions in emergency management, business continuity management, public safety, public health, pre-hospital, hospital, and healthcare preparedness through uncompromising consultation, advisement, collaboration and service. He is committed to leading efforts that contribute to a healthier, safer and more secure world. Mr. Barone brings over fifteen years of planning, mitigation, prevention, protection, preparedness, response and recovery experience at the tactical, operational, strategic and policy levels of private sector, academia and all levels of government (i.e. local, state and Federal). He holds a Masters of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Toxicology and Risk Assessment, and a Graduate Certificate in Disaster Management, from the College of Public Health, University of South Florida, Tampa, FL; and a Bachelor’s of Art in Zoology from Miami University, Oxford, OH. As a certified Firefighter II, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Emergency Manager, Homeland Security Level-V, Hazardous Materials Manager, and Project Manager, Mr. Barone strives to keep current with tactical-to-policy level industry leading practices. Currently, Mr. Barone serves as a Senior Management Analyst - Emergency Management at GAP Solutions, Inc.; a CBRN Safety Officer with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, National Disaster Medical System, Disaster Medical Assistance Team, Maryland-1; an operational volunteer Firefighter II and EMT with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department; the Secretary and Community Representative of the Alexandria Citizen Corps Council; a member of the Alexandria/Arlington Leadership Council of the American Red Cross, National Capital Region; and a Public Health and Medical Consultant, Advisor and Volunteer with the Alexandria Medical Reserve Corps.
