Officer-Involved Shooting Survival 1.0

Officer-Involved Shooting Survival 1.0

No event creates as much trauma for an officer and their department, as an officer-involved shooting that involves use of deadly force against another person. A department's response to an officer-involved shooting has an unbelievable huge impact on the officer's future emotional and psychological well being. How an officer eventually resolves the shooting incident emotionally and psychologically is dependent upon his or her ability to respond appropriately to the stressors of the incident, the subsequent investigation, and the post trauma stress indicators. Are you and your department prepared to be survivors after an officer-involved shooting incident? This course is a guide for properly handling such a traumatic incident.
