PPS in Skilled Nursing Facilities

Medicare Part A revenue is an important source of revenue for skilled nursing facilities. Without it, there would be no money available for needed resources, such as staff, equipment, and supplies. Because of the importance of Medicare reimbursement, you must have a basic understanding of the Skilled Nursing Facility Prospective Payment System (SNF PPS). In this course, you will learn about Medicare Part A eligibility requirements, the SNF PPS, and the Resource Utilization Group (RUG) classification system. In addition, you will learn strategies that you can use to help your facility be successful under the SNF PPS.
