Ms. McPhatter brings over 20 years of experience working with persons with renal disease. For the last 6 years she has served as the Assistant Clinical Nutrition Management/Renal Nutrition for a large University based hospital system. Her duties include managing renal dietitians throughout the system, promoting education and continuity of care, consulting with a variety of dialysis patients, coordinating nutrition quality assessment performance indicators for renal services, managing renal bone disease and nutrition care algorithms for dialysis patients as well as coordinating interdisciplinary plans of care. Lesley has been an invited speaker for numerous professional organizations and has provided over 40 lectures on the topic of renal nutrition/renal disease. She has authored or co-authored numerous evidence based articles for scholarly publications and is the Public Policy Coordinator for the Virginia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
