Workers in senior care organizations should know how to prevent, recognize, and report patient abuse and suspected crimes. This course helps workers identify and appropriately respond to situations that could be considered patient abuse. This course covers information all staff need to know in the Elder Justice Act, which is part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) signed March 2010, and the Social Security Act 1150(b) regarding reporting abuse, neglect, and misappropriation as well as suspected crimes. This course corresponds to the Federal regulations F223, F224, F225, & F226.
