Learning Objectives:
Discuss the development of musculoskeletal pain progression experienced in the course of a career in dentistry
Review the most common musculoskeletal disorders resulting from prolonged static postures.
Present treatment options offered by generalists and specialists trained in pain management for health care professionals.
Describe ergonomic adjustments that can be instituted in the performance of job duties, which will prevent or delay the advancement of chronic pain conditions.
Become familiar with types of equipment designed for ergonomic support.
