Jennifer received her Bachelor's degrees in Social Work and Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and Master's degree in Social Work with a Certificate in Substance Abuse Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has over 13 years of experience providing counseling and case management to a variety of populations. Her clinical interests are motivational interviewing, harm reduction, psychosis, LGBTQ+ issues, gender diversity, and integrated care. She has experience working as a substance use disorder specialist on an assertive community treatment team, and as a therapist in a local hospital outpatient clinic that specializes in schizophrenia. She also has experience working with pregnant and parenting people with substance use disorders, people that are justice involved, people living with infectious diseases, and people across the spectrum of gender and sexuality.
