Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s-related disorders, or ARD, affect both the individual's cognition and the lives of their loved ones. For many family members, it is hard to understand these disorders because they cannot see what is happening as easily as they could if there was a broken bone or a surgical scar. This course discusses Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders to help you understand how to help individuals and their family with care that promotes both dignity and independence.
