This course provides a unique opportunity for perioperative providers to explore various surgical modalities that are commonly performed in the operating room (OR). Flexibility and diversity in circulating and scrubbing skills are key to accommodating an ever-changing OR schedule and adapting to technical advancements of modern surgical intervention.
Throughout this course, you will observe a few registered nurses (RNs) and surgical technologists (STs) who are relieving their co-workers during lunch breaks. Will their ability to navigate unexpected barriers impact the team’s efficiency or patient safety?
The goal of this course is to equip nurses and STs with best practices for common surgical modalities.
