The goal of this course is to provide information about transplants and current best practices when caring for transplant recipients. This course provides general information about organ transplant, the associated complications and/or co-morbidities, and an overview of immunosuppressive therapy. It is not uncommon for a transplant recipient to experience medical problems such as kidney injury, hypertension, diabetes, and cancer. Further, transplant recipients are at an increased risk of developing cancer related to immunosuppressive therapy.
