Nearly one in five adults in the U.S. lives with a mental illness. Rehabilitation therapists often work with older adults aging with mental illness; however, little is known about how the aging process affects mental health conditions. This course provides an overview of the impact of aging with a mental illness on clinical presentation and rehabilitation potential. Some of the most common anxiety, mood, and psychotic disorder diagnoses are covered.
