It is important that the POC be complete, accurate, and signed by the attending practitioner. It is also critical that it includes specific components to be in compliance with CMS requirements. In this course, you will get definitions, descriptions of CMS forms, and aids to help you write effective POCs. Expert Reviewer: Jennifer W. Burks, M.S.N., R.N.Ron Orth obtained a nursing degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1985 and a B. A. in Health Care Administration from Concordia University in 1996. Mr. Orth possesses over 30 years of nursing experience with over 20 of those in the Skilled Nursing industry.
