The use of home invasive mechanical ventilation (HIMV) is becoming increasingly common. All rehabilitation therapists must have a working knowledge of home ventilators and how to work as a team to ensure the patient is adequately supported. This foundation module will introduce rehabilitation therapists to the indications for HIMV, monitoring systems, and settings.
