This course will instruct healthcare professionals on supporting children and adolescents who have lost a loved one. The ability for these children to cope requires developmentally appropriate information, support, and preparation for what to expect before, during, and after death. This course also covers how to prepare for and support a child during a funeral. Creative interventions for emotional expression and loss coping will also be discussed.
