Orthopedic surgery is a specialty that involves treating conditions, diseases, and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. While conservative methods can be used to manage many orthopedic conditions, surgical intervention may be necessary. This course provides a review of the anatomy and physiology associated with common orthopedic procedures. Perioperative considerations and surgical techniques used during orthopedic surgery are also discussed.
