Learning Objectives:
Compile a thorough and accurate patient history focusing on both physical and psychological components.
Classify patients according to risk level.
Understand how to use and maintain an effective emergency medical kit.
Assess and treat unconsciousness, airway obstruction, seizures, strokes and cardiac arrest.
Recognize causes for and know how to treat drug-related emergencies.
Care for patients who have epilepsy, diabetes, angina, and other diseases.
Discuss guidelines for the patient with hypertension, hypotension and asthma.
Review precautions for adverse drug reactions.
