Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) treat a variety of voice disorders in adults of all ages. SLPs must differentiate between disorders due to structural, neurogenic, and functional impairments to develop the most effective interventions. This course reviews components of a comprehensive voice assessment. A series of case studies models how to interpret assessment results to determine a clinical diagnosis, recommended interventions, and specialist referrals. This is an overview and assessment course; other courses provide more in-depth information about interventions.
