Developmental milestones are the physical or behavioral signs of development in children. Milestones are divided into functional areas that include motor, language, cognitive, and psychosocial development. Individual children grow and develop at their own pace, but these milestones typically occur at a certain age or age range. This course discusses developmental milestones and developmental delays in children. It also discusses the interdisciplinary approaches used in children with developmental delays.
