Interventions, expected progression, and outcomes vary depending on the patient’s clinical presentation, environment, and resources. The ability to identify the stage of dementia and how the clinical presentation interacts with these factors is necessary for successful management. After taking this course, learners will be able to recognize the clinical presentation of moderate dementia and develop evidence-based and best practice treatment strategies. Considerations for effective communication, caregiver training, and coordinated interdisciplinary team care are discussed.
