Wound management interventions include more than dressings. This course will review four advanced wound treatments to promote effective management of acute or chronic wounds. These interventions are skin substitutes, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), modalities typically performed by physical therapists such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, and off-loading techniques for the neuropathic wound.

Mary Arnold Long received her BSN from the College of Mount St. Joseph, her MSN from the University of Cincinnati, her ET Certificate from Abbott Northwestern Hospital and her DNP from Otterbein University. Dr. Arnold Long has over 35 years of nursing experience and over 25 years as an expert board-certified wound, ostomy, and continence nurse practicing in multiple settings.
