The human body is a wondrously complex organism, and cells are the basic units of which it is composed. In this lesson, we will learn about cell structure and function. We will see where cells fit within the hierarchy of levels into which the body is organized. Then we will study the principal tissues of the human body and take a quick tour of our organ systems. Finally, we will introduce the process of cell division and learn how cells fuel the activities that keep the body humming.
