This lesson covers root operations from the Medical and Surgical section that define other repairs. It is a short lesson because only two root operations are included in this classification: control and repair. Before beginning this lesson, you should have access to the most recent version of ICD-10-PCS (International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Procedure Coding System). If you do not have the most recent copy of an ICD-10-PCS code book, then click the Resources tab to find and download the necessary documents. You will need the most recent version of the ICD-10-PCS Code Tables and Index as well as the Official Coding Guidelines. To get the most from these lessons, it's a good idea to complete them in order. The codes and information in this lesson are updated as needed and receive a comprehensive review annually.
