Hurricanes are colossal storms that can cause catastrophic damage to coastal areas, and sometimes extend far inland. Unlike other weather disasters, there is usually time to prepare for a hurricane. Advance preparation, attention to official updates, and being careful after the storm are all important when keeping yourself and others safe during hurricane season.
