Acceptance and commitment therapy, or ACT, is a behavioral approach for addressing challenging thoughts and feelings, also known as private events, that interfere with an individual's well-being. This approach is based on Relational Frame Theory and has been used to address anxiety, trauma, and other issues. This course will provide a high-level overview of ACT and its uses within a behavior analytic framework. The goal of this course is to provide behavior analysts in clinical practice with an overview of ACT and examples of its use with clients and to enhance professional performance.
