Green Clock Hours: 1.50

How do we manage and treat patients who have experienced COVID-19? We are still learning the impact of the disease on patient function; however, much is known about effective treatments for these patients upon discharge from the intensive care unit to either home or rehabilitation settings. This course provides rehabilitation professionals with an overview of typical clinical presentations and expected outcomes for patients recovering from COVID-19. Clinical considerations for monitoring, interventions, and red flags for patients in the post-acute setting are presented. Recommendations for working with patients experiencing psychological impacts (fear, anxiety, social isolation) are discussed.
