The goal of this course is to provide behavior analysis professionals in clinical practice with information about cultural diversity and racial biases and dynamics, as it relates to the provision of services.
Applied behavior analytic research has lagged behind other healthcare professions in the study of the impact of culture on effective service delivery. Many behavior analysts in practice today have not received much information in their preservice training on cultural diversity and applied behavior analysis. Furthermore, there is little research regarding the impact of culture, race, and power on the clinician. This course will present an overview of issues surrounding cultural diversity and how clinicians can address various issues that could arise during applied behavioral analysis, or ABA, service delivery.
The goal of this course is to provide behavior analysis professionals in clinical practice with information about cultural diversity and racial biases and dynamics, as it relates to the provision of services.
